Vehicle Readiness and Daily Safety Checks
Build a repeatable pre-drive routine before the vehicle moves.
Start before the engine starts
A safe journey begins with a short, consistent inspection. Walk around the vehicle and look for obvious damage, low tyres, leaks or obstacles. Confirm that windows, lights and registration plates are clean and visible.
Prepare the driving position
Adjust the seat so every control can be used without stretching. Set mirrors to reduce blind areas, position the head restraint correctly and fasten the seat belt before moving.
Respond to warnings
Do not ignore a red warning light, unusual smell, vibration or braking problem. Stop safely and arrange inspection when the vehicle may be unsafe.
