Pre-Ride Motorcycle Safety Checks

Tyres and wheels

Check pressure when tyres are cold, inspect tread and sidewalls and look for embedded objects or damage. Confirm that wheels and fasteners appear secure.

Controls and stopping

Test both brakes, throttle return, clutch action, steering and horn. Confirm headlight, brake light and indicators work.

Drive and fluids

Inspect the chain or drive system according to the motorcycle specification. Look for leaks and verify essential fluid levels. Do not ride with a serious defect.
