Rain, Wind and Road-Surface Hazards
Adapt speed, space and control when grip or stability changes.
Grip can change quickly
Rain, sand, oil, painted lines and metal covers can reduce traction. Slow before reaching them and keep steering, throttle and braking smooth.
Create more time
Increase the following gap and avoid riding where spray or large vehicles block your view. Use lights and visible clothing as appropriate.
Manage wind
Hold the controls firmly but not rigidly. Anticipate wind changes when passing buildings, barriers and large vehicles.
