Load Restraint and Stability

Weight must be legal and balanced

Check gross vehicle and axle limits. Uneven distribution can overload tyres or axles and reduce steering or braking control.

Prevent movement

Use the correct restraints, blocking and containment for the load. Inspect after the first part of the trip and whenever conditions could loosen the load.

Manage rollover risk

A high centre of gravity makes sudden steering dangerous. Enter bends slowly and use smooth control inputs.
