Parking, Stopping and Reversing Safely

Choose the place before the manoeuvre

Check signs, markings and surrounding access. Avoid places that block driveways, pedestrian movement, emergency access or another driver’s view.

Reverse at walking pace

Look around continuously and be prepared to stop immediately. Cameras and sensors assist observation but do not replace direct checks.

Leave the vehicle secure

Select the correct gear or park setting, apply the parking brake, switch off safely and confirm that doors and passengers are clear of traffic.
